Impulse buying, it's a curse

I really need to stop buying shit I don't actually need! So the other day I was surfing around on ebay, and within a matter of minutes I was bidding on an iPhone. Why? I have no idea. Don't get me wrong, I like the iPhone, but my current phone is good enough. The phone I had previously was a Nokia E90. It does pretty much everything the iPhone does plus more. Also not to mention I also have two iPod Touches, a 16GB and a 32GB version. (I'm sooo going to run out of money soon.) I really should be spending my money on more useful things in life, like a car, or a house!

Dubbed the Jesus phone

For those of you who don't know the iPod Touch is the same as an iPhone, only without the phone feature.
So i received my iPhone yesterday, I would have blogged about it yesterday, but I spent most of my time playing around with it. OK lets start from the start.

The first time I even heard about the iPhone, I was like "meh..." I mean its has cool features like the touch screen, but the way that Apple were selling the product like it was a new revelation. From the tv ads you will see they were like "ooo you can surf the internet, and then look up cinema times, then phone your mates on the same device." Whoop dee doo! I can do that I my previous phone, it had full internet capabilities, even have a wide screen to view everything. And most phones these days can play mp3's. The reason I brought an iPod Touch in the first place I was surfing around the internet (as you do) and I came across a video on the ipod touch/iPhones feature the acclerometer, and combined with the ability to view your albums using cover flow, was amazing. I mean to be honest, it is a little pointless, but it looks cool! I like the way that it is just a big touch pad, with none of those awkward buttons that gets crap inside them.

I've never been much of a Mac fan, but then again, I've always grown up with Windows PC's, because its more widely used. Even in my IT courses I did, we never even touched a Mac. But ever since I've got my iPod Touch, I've been looking into MacBooks, and they seem pretty decent. I think I might have to get a MacBook at some point, but I don't really NEED one, since I have a small cheap laptop that I have at the moment. (Thats more of my impulse buying coming in to play)
...wait, does it count as impulse buying if you have thought about it for awhile?

I also brought some new headphones too, since my old ones were getting a little... well old. I got the Shure SE210. For those of who haven't heard of Shure, they make amazing headphones, I had a pair before and these are even better, they're like earplugs that you can listen to. They cancel all the outside noise and allows you to hear your music loud and clear. They are a little expensive for headphones, but well worth it if you really like your music.
